EYES

Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 3:17 AM

Man’s eyes have great power, for they are conveyors of the soul.

When God dwells in a man, his eyes can carry God to men.

I am now about to close my eyelids, Lord,

For my eyes this evening have finished their work

And will return home,

Having walked for a day in the garden of men.

Thank You, Lord, for my eyes, windows open on the wide world;

Thank You for their look that carries my soul as the broad sunbeam carries the light and warmth of Your sun.

I pray to You during the night, that, tomorrow, when I open my eyes to the clear morning,

They shall be ready to serve both my soul and my God.

May my eyes be clear and straightforward, Lord, and give others a hunger for purity;

May my look never be one of disappointment,

disillusionment,

despair;

But may it know how to admire,

contemplate,

adore.

May my eyes learn to close in order to find You more easily;

But may they never turn away from the world because they are afraid.

May my eyes be penetrating enough to recognise Your presence in the world,

And may they never shut on the afflictions of men.

May my eyes be firm and steady,

But may they also know how to soften in pity and be capable of tears.

May my gaze not soil the one it touches,

May it not disturb, but may it bring peace.

May it not sadden, but rather may it transmit joy.

May it not attract in order to hold captive,

But rather may it persuade others to rise above themselves to You.

May my eyes disquiet the sinner because in them he will see Your light,

But may their reproach lead to encouragement.

Grant that my eyes may be startling because they are encounter,

an encounter with God.

Grant that they be a call,

a clarion call,

that brings all the world to its doorstep,

Not because of me, Lord,

Once more, this evening,

I give You my soul,

I give You my body,

I give You my eyes,

That in looking at men, my brothers,

It may be You who look at them

And You who beckon.

Every step in life may bring us closer to God,
may give us a deeper experience of His love
and may bring us one step nearer to the blessed home of peace.

May God give you strength
so that you may stand up
to all difficulties and pressures.

May God give you courage
so that you are brave enough
to face all odds.

May God give you happiness
which you can experience
in any circumstances, good or bad.

May God be with you always~~~!

Daily Rules From GOD

Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 8:20 PM

1. Wake Up! Decide to have a good day. ‘Today is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.’(Psalm 118:24)

2. Dress Up! The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. ‘The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart’. (1Samuel 16:7)

3. Shut Up! Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking. ‘He who guards his lips guards his soul’.
(Proverbs 13:3)

4. Stand Up! For what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for anything... ‘Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good...’ (Galatians 6:9-10)

5. Look Up...!! To the LORD ‘I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me.’
(Philippians 4:13)

6. Reach Up!! For something higher. ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him. And He will direct your path.’ (Proverbs 3:5-6)

7. Lift Up...!! ‘Do not worry about anything; instead PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING.’
(Philippians 4:6)

ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER

Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 7:08 PM

There's work to do, deadlines to meet;
You've got no time to spare,
But as you hurry and scurry -
ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER

In the midst of family chaos;
"Quality time" is rare.
Do your best; let God do the rest -
ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER

It may seem like your worries
Are more than you can bear.
Slow down and take a breather -
ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER

God knows how stressful life is;
He wants to ease our cares
And He'll respond to all our needs -
ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER

~~~*******************~~~
I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Come unto Me and rest;
Lay down, thou weary one, lay down thy head upon My breast.”
I came to Jesus as I was, weary and worn and sad;
I found in Him a resting place, and He has made me glad.
I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Behold, I freely give
The living water; thirsty one, stoop down, and drink, and live.”
I came to Jesus, and I drank of that life giving stream;
My thirst was quenched, my soul revived, and now I live in Him.
I heard the voice of Jesus say, “I am this dark world’s Light;
Look unto Me, thy morn shall rise, and all thy day be bright.”
I looked to Jesus, and I found in Him my Star, my Sun;
And in that light of life I’ll walk, till traveling days are done.
[ An all time favourite hymn...Still remember how I used to long for no.469 of Common Praise to appear in the Pew Bulletin every Sunday Morning service during my secondary school years (still doing it now)...Sadly, it is not in Presbyterian Hymnal..so many are not in it actually...even 'It Is Well' that Cikgu Horatio quoted recently in FB also not in it..Another one of my favourite,
'Lord of all Power' also not inside...wonder why only few are chosen in Presbyterian Hymnal...?? Maybe because the one that's used in most Presbyterian churches is bilingual. Thus it will be a VERY thick book if all are included...??? Maybe the mono language got..?]
Allah Peduli
Lyric for Allah Peduli
Banyak perkara
Yang tak dapat kumengerti
Mengapakah harus terjadi
Di dalam kehidupan ini
Satu perkara
Yang kusimpan dalam hati
Tiada sesuatu 'kan terjadi
Tanpa Allah peduli
Chorus:
Allah mengerti Allah peduli
Segala persoalan yang kita hadapi
Tak akan pernah dibiarkanNya
Ku bergumul sendiri
S'bab Allah mengerti
* Trust in the Lord, He'll reach out to meet our need coz He fully understand what we're going through! Continue to strive for the incoming final exam! God will accompany us for sure! *
God is NEVER Beyond Our Reach
Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 9:07 PM
No one ever sought the Father
And found He was not there,
And no burden is too heavy
To be lightened
by a prayer,
No problem is too intricate
And no sorrow that we face
Is too deep and devastating
To be softened by His grace,
No trials and tribulations
Are beyond what we can bear
If we share them with Our Father
As we talk to Him in prayer –
And men of every colour,
Every race and every creed
Have but to seek the Father
In their deepest hour of need –
God asks for no credentials,
He accepts us with our flaws,
He is kind and understanding
And He welcomes us because
We are His erring children
And He loves us everyone,
And He freely and completely
Forgives all that we have done,
Asking only if we’re ready
To follow where He leads –
Content that in His Wisdom
He will answer all our needs.
A Christian's Possessions
Sunday, October 4, 2009 at 8:21 AM
A tax assessor came one day to a poor Christian to determine the amount of taxes
he would have to pay.
The following conversation took place:
"What property do you possess?" asked the assessor. "I am a very wealthy man,"
replied the Christian.
"List your possessions, please," the assessor instructed. The Christian said:
"First, I have everlasting life, John 3:16
Second, I have a mansion in heaven, John 14:2
Third, I have peace that passes all understanding, Philippians 4:7
Fourth, I have joy unspeakable, 1 Peter 1:8
Fifth, I have divine love which never fails, 1 Corinthians 13:8
Sixth, I have a faithful wife, Proverbs 31:10
Seventh, I have healthy, happy obedient children, Exodus 20:12
Eighth, I have true, loyal friends, Proverbs 18:24
Ninth, I have songs in the night, Psalms 42:8
Tenth, I have a crown of life, James 1:12"
The tax assessor closed his book, and said,
"Truly you are a very rich man, but your property is not subject to taxation." I pray
that all of us will have this kind of tax free "wealth."
Author Unknown This is what it means to be rich....... Rich with the blessings of our
Almighty God. Blessed be His name forever. Amen!
Stay Tuned!!
[This is LOve] From a Child's Perspective
at 3:25 PM
I accidently found an old friend's blog and found this article posted last year.
The title itself makes me wanna read it further till the end.
And since our upcoming Testimonial Sharing on this Wednesday is about 'True Love', i'm thinking of posting this up just to share with you all...
This may sounds too Bible Class---INGTM (meminta kebenaran tuk pinjam kejap, Cikgu Horatio), but please bear with me for awhile. Before you continue reading, let us open up our Bible and turn to a famous verses of 1Corinthians 13: 1-8a. I bet some of you have already memorized it by heart don't you? Some may start singing the song that we sang on last Sunday Service---which was insprired by these verses. Never mind, continue doing what you are doing with a joyful heart knowing that Christ is with us. Meditate awhile on the Word of God before you proceed to the next paragraph ya~~~^*
What do Love means to a 4-8 year old...... Slow down for mere three minutes to read this. It is so worth it. Touching words from the mouth of babes. A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, 'What does love mean?' The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what would you think:
'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint
her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.'
Rebecca- age 8
'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.'
Billy - age 4
'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne
and they go out and smell each other.'
Karl - age 5
'Love is when you
go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.
'
Chrissy -age 6
'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.'
Terri - age 4
'Love is when
my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving
it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.'
Danny - age 7
'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when
they kiss'
Emily - age 8
'Love is what's
in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.'
Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)
'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,'
Nikka - age 6
(we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)
'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.'
Noelle - age 7
'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.
' Tommy - age 6
'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me
and saw my daddy waving and smiling.He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.'
Cindy - age 8
'My mommy loves me more than anybody.You don't see anyone else kissng me to sleep at night.'
Clare - age 6
'Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.'
Elaine-age 5
'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.'
Chris - age 7
'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.'
Mary Ann - age 4
'I know my older sister loves me because she
gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.'
Lauren - age 4
'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go
up and down and little stars come out of you.'
(what an image)
Karen - age 7
'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross.'
Mark - age 6
Next> Now don't tell me you don't know what love is...
Say a simple sincere prayer that comes from your fragile little heart...
If what you are doing is out of love that is Christ centered, just do it no matter what others may think cuz what matter the most is what God would think.
